Matt's flame for dance music was lit in the late 90s upon hearing tracks by Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, the Chemical Brothers; a keen developing interest in electronic music led to him catching the DJ bug at 16 where he soon found his niche with House music.
Slowly discovering his connection to a specific feeling in the music which all came together after witnessing what can only be described as the best party of his young life courtesy of Chicago legend Derrick Carter; tough basslines, bouncy, swinging, jackin’ beats, infectious melodic riffs and raw vocal cuts where the key ingredients.
Matt continued packing his bags with 12" vinyls from DJ Sneak, Ian Pooley, Kenny Dope, Switch/Solid Groove, Joey Youngman, Jason Hodges, Jesse Rose +more, a range of artists who would be key to shaping his sound and tastes over the coming years.
