Jamaica Plain, United States

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer and producer. Formed 2 seminal Boston bands, The Molls and Someone & The Somebodies. The Molls became the house band at legendary Boston club, The Rat. Owner Jim Harold trusted this band with coveted opening slots for John Cale, The Police, The Plasmatics, UK Squeeze, Pere Ubu, and many more. The band's song, "Satin Sadie" became the staff's most requested song in the history of the club. Someone & The Somebodies gained notoriety when in the early '80s they supported U2 in the Northeast on the band's first 3 US tours. While in the Somebodies, Jon formed the experimental electronic minimalist duo, Dervish. Dervish became a fixture of the Thayer street loft scene of the early '80s playing at Starsystems Loft with the incredible Bill Sebastian Light Show and Red Loft, jamming with Ottmar Liebert. Along the way Jon has either founded or been asked to join the bands As Is, Why Fatman, Why??, Dirt Red, and post rock instrumental trio Auto 66.
