Jim Olsen has been hosting The Back Porch on WRSI since 1993. The radio show airs Sunday mornings from 9am-noon. The show features wide and deep variety of all forms of American Roots music from vintage to brand new. Olsen has had a long and fruitful career in music. He founder and President of Signature Sounds Recordings, an internationally recognized label that has help launch the careers of many artists including Lake Street Dive, Josh Ritter, Lori McKenna, Chris Smither, Eilen Jewell, Aoife O'Donovan and many more. He also founded and produced The Green RIver Festival, Arcadia Folk Festival and The Back Porch Festival, which happens every spring in Olsen's hometown of Northampton MA.
