Growing up in the UK, I first heard house music in the late 80s.. then my life changed when I went to my first illegal rave in Cambridge 1991 – Proper Stuff. Meeting in a Tesco carpark in Bar Hill, tuning in to a pirate radio station and getting in the convoy! Hearing the music waiting for you in the warehouse was like nothing else. Then I became a regular on the dance floor at The Eclipse in Cambridge and Orange @ The Rocket on Holloway Road and l lived for the weekend for many years.
It’s always been about the music for me and I still like tracks with that old school sound - vocals, piano, weird noises, the drops…and I love acid house but mainly I want to play music that makes you want to dance.
