I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas. Everyone has an epiphany at some point in their life when they know their gay, at least I believe it to be so, I had mine at the ripe age of 9, Came out to my parents at the stunning age of 12, and then the FIGHT began.

Graduated Conroe High School, went to Texas A&M University in Galveston the following year, took up the study of marine biology and entered the core. Funds evaporated faster than one would have thought, I entered the Navy the following year as Nuclear Propulsion Mechanic, spent the best 7 years of my life in the Navy, was a certified Submariner and truly can’t say a bad thing about it. Got Married to my first and true love at the March on Washington, and soon after Clinton took his post I decided it was time to make a statement and outed myself in the Navy. My discharge was something of great debate, I was released with a highly awarded honorable discharge, this came after 2 attempts for me to just recant and move
