Always been a Soul Boy first record I bought was Backstabbers by The Ojays
First heard Northern Soul in 1972 but didn't know what it was as most Discos played Soul. BUt first NS record I heard was Bob Relf - Blowin' my mind to pieces
The next week went to Va-Vas (Bolton) for my first all-nighter aged 16 with two mates a life-changing event.
So every weekend from then on went to the Blackpool Mecca and Wigan 1972-1976
Standard weekend was Saturday night at the Mecca followed by Wigan possibly with an all-dayer thrown in on the way back home.

Well its been a couple of years back and promoting my first all-nighter with Chris Burton @ Worcester Uni. now promoting Worcester Uni, great venue, top DJs and no handbaggers, as its on the edge of town on campus. My goal is to develop this into one of the top venues in the UK.
