Born 1966 in Sydney, Sylk first heard Goa trance somewhere in the bush east of Hobart Tasmania in 1997 and fell instantly in love with the sound and the culture. Sylk moved back to Sydney late in 1998 and hooked up with other Sydney DJ to form the Trancendance party crew Trancendance was very active organising bush parties around Sydney through to 2003-4. Trancendance also held the Earthdance franchise in Sydney from 99 to 2003.
During this period Sylk played regularly for Trancendance and many other crews including: Liquid labyrinth, Artcore, Earthcore, The Dreaming, Rainbow Serpent, Yack & Yetti, Speaka Huggers just to name a few.
Sylk was one of the 1st dj’s in Sydney to pick up the new progressive sound coming out of Europe, weaving many a memorable morning stomp. These days Sylk focuses on the fat stomping progressive beats.
