Jo started DJing at parties while he was still at school. Despite the fact that it remained mostly private events, even here as a DJ he felt this energy that developed between him and the audience as he pushed the dancers on and on and thus gave them joy. And it was exactly this joy that you feel when you dance for hours through the night to house music that was the reason for him to start producing his own tracks.
Having grown up with Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk in his childhood, there was a phase towards the end of his Sturm und Drang period, in the early 90s, with a focus on electronic body music. Musically, the band Nitzer Ebb set the tone for him during this phase. This period was seamlessly followed by a short acid techno phase, which then led to house music in the mid-90s, where he has located his musical home ever since.
