My DJ name is JBug, born and raised in South Dublin. My love affair with music started when I bought my first album at the tender age of six. It was Michael Jackson’s “Bad” on vinyl and I was hooked. My love for all things electro started around 1992 when I start listening to pirate radio stations such as Sunset fm.
A year later on Stephen’s day I was giving a copy of a live DJ mix from “Sides” nightclub which blew my mind and from that day forward it was all about sourcing the hottest, latest tunes from the mighty “Abbey Discs” and other such outlets. I bought some cheap belt drive turntables, later progressed to Technics 1210′s, and now I use all manner of Cdj’s and controllers. I have been producing my own tracks on ableton for a few years now, its mostly a hobby but id love to get some tracks signed in the future to hopefully some homegrown labels.
I now have a weekly show called Motiv8 on playdublin.net every Tues from 5-6pm thats mostly tech-house but can vary.
