Focusing on the deeper, stripped back styles of house & techno have seen Jengis gain a love for infectious grooves and percussive rhythms. Upon finding electronic music during his early teenage years he was highly influenced by the Detroit/Chicago house movement.
Taking his early influences from producers like Terry Lee Brown, Norm Talley & Carl Craig then more recently from the likes of Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Dj Koze, Martin Buttrich & Steve Bug to form the basis of what is now a blueprint for his sets. Creating a musical journey is the focal point.
Since his inception Jengis has played parties for Brisbane crews Subtrakt, Delight, L.G.M., Auditree, Cocomango's in Byron Bay and currently he holds down a residency with famous Gold Coast nightclub Elsewhere and Nautic Giants. Relentless effort and technical prowess have seen him booked to support international acts Kenny Larkin, Delano Smith, Reboot, Ben Watt & Jay Shepheard.
