Jef Reynolds makes and produces music from the metonym of automobiles and soul, The Motor City. Having sustained several career paths throughout his life, he worked as an engineer (and retired from) a motor car company. While doing that Jef also managed to tour with and accompany many artists during that period: Lesley Gore, Lou Christie, The Crystals, Martha Reeves , Danny and the Juniors, The Coaster, Little Eva, Freddy "Boom-Boom" Cannon, Archie Bell, Fabian, Billy J. Kramer, The Tokens, Alex Chilton (lead singer of the Box Tops and founder of Big Star) and Wolfman Jack and his Midnight Special Rock and Roll Revival Road Show. Mr. Reynolds spent his formative years learning from and playing with great Detroit jazz musicians including the legends: Joe Messina, Ralphe Armstrong, Michael Karoub, Ron English, Wendell Harrison, RJ Spangler.
