I have never sung for money. I am a former choirboy. I started off as a descant, but, with age, I am now basically a baritone, with some metzo tenor, thrown in depending on the song that I am singing along to. My voice is best suited to songs by Elvis Presley and Bing Crosby, which would make me a crooner. I used to do Karaoke, but, I got tired of people not knowing how to react to my voice. Silent crowds and no applause, is not very exciting. I remember getting up to sing : ON THE COVER OF THE ROLLING STONE, and doing all of the different voices. I warned the DJ ahead of time what the crowds reaction would be and I was right. Strangely enough, he recognized my talent and kept me busy for the rest of the night. At the end of the night, there was no one in the audience. Everyone was up on stage, singing : WE ARE THE WORLD, with me on lead vocals.
