Little bit about myself, I started DJ’ing in late 1988/early 1989 with one belt drive table and a standard table with a radio shack mixer. I am also deaf (I was born that way), with one ear at 85% loss and 60% in the which has a hearing aid so it took me a good 3-5 years to perfect my mixing using one ear. I have enjoyed the days of Aahz, The Edge, Firestone, Brassy’s/Marz among other amazing venues in the Florida rave scene and played in many 90’s Florida parties (Solrays and UV were my regulars) through the 90’s into 2000’s. Recent more hearing declines makes it hard to mix music manually nowadays, and with recent digital technologies and I am able to use soundwaves to help me compile my mixing into an art form again and being able to enjoy playing some music as a form of therapy these days.. I still mix live and you will still hear imperfections every now and then..
