J-Dastardly has been spinning for only 4 years but he's already become a fixture in the DC, Baltimore and Philly dance music scenes. His inspiration to get behind the decks came from watching and listening to the tons of amazingly talented local DJ's in DC and Baltimore. With his musical roots in the punk and hardcore, drum and bass was the obvious choice for him to start with, but his love of the funkier sounds also drew him to breaks and house. His eclectic tastes in music has greatly inspired him throughout his DJ career, leading him to branch out even further to hardcore, dubstep, electro, funk and hip hop, with all those genres likely to be heard in his sets. This level of variety has earned him much respect and praise from fans and promoters. His roots in the punk scene and fierce DIY attitude have helped him develop a strong fan base and has lead him beyond just being a DJ. He has also thrown events, had a weekly internet radio show and entered the realm of music production.
