Although his alias “Jay Stax” is attracting a lot of attention, 16-year-old Jared Statie remains down to earth. Jared started dabbling in music when he was eight years old by following lessons in mandolin and cuarta and performing in a church choir. At the age of ten his father introduced him to the world of DJ’s. “My dad installed a computer in my room and because he used to be a DJ in college, he installed music mixing software for me and taught me some of the basics,” says Jared. His style is geared towards electronic dance music or EDM. “It’s a mix of club and house music,” Jared explains. But as shown during his first gigs as a DJ at private parties, weddings and grand openings, Jared can mix a large range of music and provide a memorable experience.
Jared’s focus is to eventually play at some of the big dance festivals, such as Tomorrowland or Tomorrow World. “I believe that just like my inspiration Hardwell, everyone should try the utmost to make their dreams a reality” he says
