Jay Clarke is an up and coming DJ and producer from Cambridge (UK). Originally learning to mix on a pair of Numark Belt-Driven Turntables 8 years ago, he has flirted with different genres, such as Garage and Drum & Bass before ending up with a forward thinking hybrid mix of Techno and Dubstep.

Inspired by the second wave of Detroit Techno (Rob Hood, Jeff Mills), twist in some Berlin rawness (Dettmann, Klock, Regis, Function), and add some Dubstep wiggle (Martyn, 2562, Scuba, Pangaea, Zombie) what your left with is dark, raw, hypnotic, shoulder and hip shaking grooves.

"We are still making the transition from the tradition DJ paradigm to the digital DJ paradigm and it's good to see people using different mediums. There will always be the argument of "Laptop DJ's aren't real DJ's" but using a laptop works for me.
