An uncompromising passion for a contemporary, cutting edge clean sound is what Jay brings to electronic music. Scottish DJ - Jay Martin Smith aka GMJ began his journey into music Sampling in the early 1990s. Based in his home of Aberdeen Scotland for a time but eventually re-locating to 't Hamberg Germany' Jay M Smith. always had an affinity for cutting edge electronics. It's a fervor that eventually led him to electronic dance music and more specifically Progressive house / Tech House and Techno. The sounds of Underworld, Future Sound Of London and Hernan Cattaneo are what shaped Jay's musical foundation early on and eventually led him to begin DJing in the early awa 2000. When asked about his beginnings in electronic music Jay's notes "It was an incredibly inspiring time for me, the passion for hearing something unique and fresh got me totally hooked and I couldn't wait to sample the future of Undergrond Sounds with my people .
