Calcule Matanza was born in Amsterdam in 1984 where he lived some of his baby years.He then moved with his family to Spain for a short time before finally settling in London England. Growing up he was, as he calls it "a music whore. which basically means that if i liked the music i was in to it" it was only as he hit his teenage years that he got more and more involved with dance music. making a transition from British hip hop to early 90's house. " I was always running around the clubs in my area very underaged haha. when i see the pictures i have no idea how us guys were getting through the door staff. simpler times haha. that is where my love for 4x4 beats and rolling basslines came from" Calcule was always waiting for the weekends so he could get back out there listening to the music that made him feel good. " I was living for the weekends. i kind of still am really. although not as much as we used to. my friends are crazy man. but would not change them for anything.
