Jason Clae is one of the more prolific producers you’ve never heard of. He’s been in the music industry for nearly two decades as an artist, DJ, producer, and engineer and has worked with many people you have heard of: Andre Perry, Debbie D, Gravity Kills, KMFDM, Andre 3000, Jagged Edge, and others.
It began one night as a teenager when he heard “Equinoxe 4” by Jean Michelle Jarre. It was a musical epiphany that led to electronic pioneers Art of Noise, then the classic synth pop of Depeche Mode, the legendary industrial of Skinny Puppy, hardcore innovators The Prodigy, and eventually current icons like Hybrid and Quivver.
Jason has lived through the days when DJs went to record stores for hours at a time, shuffled through hundreds of records, and paid $10 or more for them. Each! Jason currently lives in Atlanta with his wife, two kids, insane dog, and 5,000 records.
