Back in the year 2001 i started dj'ing ,1 turntable and 1 Pioneer CDJ-100 together with a cheap mixer from JB-Systems and an MD player to record. Started off under the name "Dj Optic Needle" hence the analog and digital decks ,slowly saved up some money to get myself a 2 turntables, CD players & Pioneer EFX-500. Trance music has always been my favorite kind of music, but every now and then i liked some Techno, Schranz, House and Drum'n'bass as well. Done a few parties in the past , playing mainly Trance and Techno.
Now its just a hobby (home dj) , upgraded my setup a few years ago with a Technics SH-MZ 1200 4ch mixer, 2 CDJ-400 players and the old EFX.
I still like the DIY mixing (no computers involved), altough everything is moved to mp3 these days.
Digitalized all my vinyl records so i can still play them every now and then. Altough haven't sold any of my old dusty records nor vinyl decks, hoping vinyl will come back some day ;)
