Having spent the majority of his life in his native Scotland, Energy Lab moved to Dubai in 2012.
He has always had a love for technology and all things music, and started writing dance music back in 1988 on an Amiga 500. Experimenting with different genres, from Hardcore to Techno, Ambient to House, he eventually settled on Deep House, which is still his favourite House sub-genre to this day.
In 2008, he sent away a demo album to a number of record labels, and got his first EP signed to Alive in Music, a London-based label. The EP featured two Electro House tracks, and was well received by clubbers and DJ's.
When he's not working on music, Energy Lab likes to relax by taking his dogs for a walk, watching TV or a film, or shopping for clothes in Dubai Mall.
