DJ Mac started out in music at an early age learning to play the violin & piano, but dance music was more to his taste so after attending some local youth parties influenced by seeing the DJs spinning vinyl, he quickly picked up a pair of turntables himself and was soon up there as well playing to the crowds.

Mac mixed everything from House & Garage to jungle & HipHop, but his passion for big basslines lead him to settle as a Drum n Bass DJ.
He went on to help run a successful weekly night in his home town in the early 00’s, and has played out at some well known night spots across the country including The O2 Academy Oxford, H20 Swindon, & Lakota in Bristol to name a few.
Now with 20 + years mixing experience under his belt, a Volume & Rough Tempo resident for a number of years and recently winning the Random Concept DJ competition things are looking good right now.. Mac has had the chance to play alongside some of biggest names in the scene and currently dabbling in production..
