James 'Kukoo Wasp' Upright was inspired by electronic music at a very early age by tunes written by musicians who composed for computer games. This progressed to listening to his dads record collection of Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre and early Pink Floyd. Then, when the acid and raves years picked up, he got involved in the scene through his older brother Andrew 'The Moog' Wright, dancing at raves to the classics.

More recently developing a great love for breaks, KW is blending the love of retro arcade game sounds with chunky beats to create something bouncy yet spikey.
He recently remixed a tune of one of his Commodore 64 musician idols Ben Daglish, from the game 'Hades Nebula'.

He is currently working on a 7 track album going back to basics and embracing his love of the Roland TB-303. Stay tuned for more news.
