
DJ James Decon was born into a family of musicians, so his interest in music was kindled at a young age. By the time he was in his teens it had become an all consuming passion and he set his mind on making a name for himself on the music scene.
“I cannot imagine doing anything else. Music is essential to my life and I couldn’t live without it” he smiles.
When he was only 15 he was spotted by veteran DJ Alfie Fabri, who, recognising his talent, invited him onto his Buzz FM radio programme.
The next summer found him in the Alto Adige, Italy, playing alongside popular DJs Mollella and Fargetti.
In 2004 he was hosting his own bi-weekly programme and over the next three years had residencies in places such as Huggins & Friends, Lines and Black Gold.
In 2006 James teamed up again with his mentor Alfie Fabri at The Living Room and also organised his own successful summer parties at Buddha Lounge.
