58 years old and finally getting behind the decks. I fell in love with dance music in the 80s, 90s, 20s - back when we invented it! House, soul, big vocals, hands in the air tunes, and I still love all of it, alongside plenty of the brilliant house music being made today.

I’d always wanted to DJ, but work, family and life somehow kept getting in the way. Then I lost my wife Mary and, somewhere amongst everything that followed, I thought: why not? Life really is too short to keep putting things off.

So here I am. Learning as I go, fitting it around a full-time job and probably abusing Smart Fading far more than is considered professionally acceptable.

Music has always given me joy. These days it gives me a fair bit of comfort too. The mixes won’t always be perfect, I’m very much still learning, but the tunes will always be ones I genuinely love - hope you do too.

Old enough to know better. Young enough not to care.
