New York, United States
My hip hop roots began as an MC (known as Count D) in 1978 with Harlem's legendary Mighty Gestapo Crew with Prince Whipper Whip, The Magnificent Dot- A-Rock and the Amazing Speedy Speed.

I later performed with Whip and Dot again when I became live drummer for Grand Wizard Theodore (inventor of the scratch) and the Fantastic 5 MCs. and also played on their classic "Can I Get a Soul Clap".
After attending college, J was introduced to a DJ in New Jersey who's specialty was cutting 45's. Although not famous at the time,
I spent many hours recording tapes with DJ Mark the 45 King early in his career. Got into production after that.
Current project is "Super Rhymes" by Wavy Willy. 15 lyrical tracks.... fun, entertaining and decidedly New York. Boom bap beats, braggadocios rhymes and catchy hooks. SUPER RHYMES. Thanks for your support. Hip hop for life. Enjoy. www.motaveda.com
