Geneva, Switzerland

When he discovered the magic of rhythm while playing with two empty bottles of vodka, Igor decided to flee his barrack in Irkutsk and abandon the Red Army. Travelling to the west where he knew were located cities which defined modern rhythms such as Berlin, Barcelona, London and Detroit – he discovered many kinds of electronic music. From dark basements where hardcore rioters were incarnating anger, through green fields of summer festivals where trance loonies were crowd dreaming, or glamour clubs and their petty clients laughing while bathing in champagne on house music, and big cities dusty warehouses populated for one night by the undying rhythm of Detroit techno, many kinds of music were heard, enjoyed and assimilated. At the end or the beginning of this long trip, our Irkutsk runaway decided to focus on basics; minimalistic, deep and groovy techno was the answer. But then was there any question to answer to? And is it important to define what we love by so many ridiculous names?
