"Snapshots of Grenfell" was written by John Thomas Richards (1875-1958), who was a priest in charge of the Anglican Mission of Flower's Cove in Northern Newfoundland and Coastal Labrador from 1904-45. He was a friend and support of Dr. Willfred Grenfell. Because of his "outstanding work in promoting the social welfare of the people," he was made an Ordinary Officer of the British Empire by King George VI in 1949.
