I'm a Bartender not Mixologist.
"Mixologist" originated in 1856 as a satirical term in a magazine article as a humorous way to refer to Bartenders that take themselves too seriously. I have never taken myself that seriously. Plus it sounds ridiculous.
Don't believe me? Apply it to other professions. Farmer: agrolosit, tailor: sewologist, model: poseologist, pilot: aviologist, chef: foodologist, banker: cashologist. I think you get the point. Mixologist?!? Really?!? I guess I have been called much worse.
