Fred again.. meets Selena.

Zelene is the darker alter ego of Mexican-American producer, DJ, vocalist and musician, Cassandra Jones. Based in Los Angeles for more than a decade, she makes melodic electronic music built on breakbeats, heavy synth bass, atmospheric pads and brooding vocals—emotional, sexual and a little reckless without taking itself too seriously.

A lifelong musician, Zelene began playing piano at four before moving into voice, guitar, trombone and production. After studying music, she trained in electronic music production at SAE and interned at G.O.O.D. Music before spending years producing, writing and engineering. She produces, records, mixes and masters her own music.

Her influences span Fred again.., Skrillex and Massive Attack to Selena, Chopin and Los Ángeles Azules. Now behind the decks as well as the boards, Zelene plays throughout Los Angeles, with a recurring Hollywood residency and appearances across LA's underground.
