illwiththeconsumption is an electro/glitch/dubstep project by Thom Butler from Denver, CO. As an avid music dork, Thom's list of musical influences is a long one indeed; this tends to show in his final results.
So here's the story: I entered the University of Colorado at Denver in late 2002 and, eventually, emerged in one piece (mostly) with a Bachelor of Science in Music degree. While enrolled in UCD's music program, I became interested in sound design and music theory. In late 2008, I started playing with DJ software and decided instead to pick up music production under the 'illwiththeconsumption' name. Currently taking a break from production, I've gone into DJing for real this time. It's a new area for me, but I'm really enjoying it so far.
