Illament started collecting records a decade ago. His musical taste was shaped primarily by the new and upcoming sound of dubstep. However, when tastes shifted and influences broadened, Illament’s approach to music developed into a more diverse palette.
Selection comes first and ranges from hip hop and reggae to funk and soul. From disco to jazz and some African, Latin, Brazilian stuff… you name it. Driven by a feel for the occasion and a love for analog sounds, Illament is charachterized by his unhurried style.
