“Ever since Cicatrix was a kid, he has always been in love with music which isn’t quite so extraordinary given the fact that his Mum was a secretary for Phonogram Records and his Dad produces an internal radio show for several hospitals in Amsterdam. Whether it was taping the latest tunes on the radio or TV or making his own little radio show for an imaginary crowd, Ilan has always had music running through his veins.
Back in 2008, he finally managed to buy his own set of decks to practise mixing and started performing on local stations and at the infamous yet intimate Quest4Trance parties, as well as spinning alongside Misja Helsloot, Dazzle, RAM & Ron van den Beuken. Furthermore, Cicatrix has done guestmixes for world famous DJ's such as Andy Duguid and Lemon & Einar K.

Nowadays, it's anything but trance that defines Ilan's mixing; a fine blend of deephouse, tech house and techno is what's it's all about. This has brought him to play amongst Sandrien, Remy and Secret Cinema!
