Hello!
Thanks for landing here to my varied selection of mixes ranging from funk, disco & mellower house through to big room stompers with a smattering of commercial crowd-pleasers thrown in for good measure.
I've DJ'd since the late 80's in bars around Edinburgh before really discovering house music and clubbing in the early 90's.
So why Betty?? As there was already an Ian Clarke (Boney) on the Scottish club circuit an alternative DJ name was needed, so after a particularly heavy weekend in the Summer of '97 it was suggested that a spell in the clinic may be needed, so Betty Ford was put on a club flyer. For better or worse, it has stuck.
Musically I lean towards the soulful/groovy/disco end of the spectrum, a soaring vocal or a stomping beat is all it takes to make my ears prick up but equally enjoy going down the rabbit hole of the darker side of house music.
Each of the mixes have their own flavour and are just little wedge of my collection so please check 'em out! Ta. Betty x
