I-Phy has proven to be the fresh talent the darkpsy sub-genre has been waiting for. By the end of 2017 she had the skills and confidence to share her gifts with the world. She now regularly plays her sets at some of Cape Town’s best events/clubs as well as Jo'burg.
As she skilfully weaves a musical tapestry with layered melodies and heavy basslines, I-Phy tells a story of magical creatures and self-exploration that leads the listener through the dark forest of the soul and into the light. She explains her love for darkpsy: "I believe that as humans, for us to know the light, we have to make friends with our own darkness. This is where all beauty lies. And through our active meditation on the dance floor, we're able to collectively touch our inner truth. This is a deeply healing experience that I hope will ultimately lead to the healing of our mother Earth.
