Our Aim
The Islamic Society of Huddersfield University aims to cater to the spiritual and social needs of Muslim students on campus. It serves as a focal point for both students and staff and those wanting to know more about Islam in Huddersfield.
The Islamic Society, often referred to as an ‘ISOC’, commits itself and strives to be a source of Islamic knowledge to both Muslims and Non-Muslims, be the voice of Muslim students on university and union level, provide services that facilitate the practice of the Muslim faith, raise awareness of the Islamic belief amongst people of all creed and faith and act as a platform for debate amongst all students. The society exists to uphold Islamic teachings in accordance with The Qur’an and Sunnah of the last and final Prophet, Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
