In 1999, a project that had a lot of planning time was completed in the capital of Ecuador... Juan Carlos Viteri and Jorge Ayala supported our innovative proposal and thus HOT BEAT was born, being the first mixed electronic music program that was broadcast in the city of Quito and the center of the country (Latacunga, Salcedo, Ambato, among other cities) through the signal of Hot 106.

Hot Beat was the precursor of many similar programs that are currently being heard throughout Ecuador and strengthened the emerging electronic scene in the capital, bringing the rave sound to the Mainstream.

House, Techno, Trance, Progressive, Tribal, Minimal, Drum & Bass, among other genres, had their place in the early years of the program, many of them were unknown to the public and thanks to HOT BEAT, the audience identified with several of them, becoming regular ravers.
