Hailing from the headwaters of the Delatite River in the armpit of Mt Buller, the Hillbilly DJ’s are the combined talents of Sean Cochran aka DJ Seany C and Ben Annear aka DJ Billy Wizz.
Seany C is the wunderkid of the pair with tech mixing skills and slick sample dropping abilities, while Billy Wizz brings experience from years of work with KISS FM, Triple J’s Mixup and tour DJ for Aussie electronic pioneers Sonic Animation.
With more than 30 years of experience as tune selectors between the two, their music styles often cross many genres and ages. With a penchant for upfront, fresh electronic sounds the The Hillbilly’s sets are always a bass heavy selection of old school rap and hip hop, breaks, swing hop, progressive, deep and tech house, and a dash of drum ’n’ bass. Don’t be confused by their stage outfits, as they hardly ever play Country & Western!
