London, United Kingdom
Born in London, Henry is a DJ and promoter whose sound weaves deep, soulful, gospel, Afro and Latin house with disco, funk, broken beat and UK funky. Drawing inspiration from New York and Chicago pioneers such as Masters at Work, Ron Trent, Joe Claussell, Chez Damier and Osunlade, as well as broken beat heavyweights like IG Culture, Phil Asher and Atjazz, his sets are percussive, soulful and deeply rooted in those that came before him.
As co-founder of Break Even, a non-profit party that has welcomed respected selectors including Marcia Carr, Alex Nut, Mighty Zaf, Grace Shelly, Lila, Jjamz, Oscillation and more, Henry has played across London and the North at venues including Colour Factory, The Jago, Low Profile Studios, Eiger Studios, Wharf Chambers and Beaver Works. With a growing reputation for thoughtful, feel-good selections, he is steadily carving out a name within the UK underground.
