Hemiptera was formed in late 2008 as a mobile studio and performance project by Yanni and Jenn Ehm (Montreal/San Francisco) that migrates throughout North America. While rooted in the contemporary techno movement and influenced by aesthetic principals of minimalism, the duo eschews genre dogma and embodies a spirit of curiousity in all sonic creations.
Described by the Chapel Hill Independent as "An excellent late-night escape", Hemiptera performs a Live PA in a largely improvisational format using two JazzMutant Lemurs.
