hēmerôn is the day. It is the unit of time astronomically defined within the complete rotation movement of the planet Earth. It is a period of time, however, that can be frequently subject to contraction or dilation according to several factors: the intimate perceptions of man and the particular and temporary hypersensitivity of his feeling about the environment around him.
