DJ Hegemony’s scratch oriented sound developed out of an obsession with strange spoken word vinyl and underground hip-hop turntabilism. DJ Hegemony is a key member of the international collective of artists and DJ's, The Infusion Project. You never know what you are going to get with a dj hegemony show because his sound will range from mixing up metal to rap to dance to stoney groves all the while scratching in spoken word samples ranging from evangelical preachers, stand up comedians, educational/instructional manuals, and children’s stories. “There is something I find so special about digging for lost gems that when I find something that has been lost to time and will separate my sound from any other performance out there right now, it just gives me the shivers.”
