Over a decade ago my father, Bob, gave me his cassette collection. Amongst the tapes (which ranged from Tibetan Monk chanting to Hawaiian Folk songs to Robert Johnson) were Maximumrocknroll radio shows. MRR originated as a punk radio show on Berkeley's KPFA in 1977. My father recorded the shows from 1979-1982. Unfortunately many of the tapes have either disintegrated or been eaten by errant machines over the last decade.
