I was a DnB/House/Hip Hop DJ in my previous life.
I started spinning breaks and hiphop back in the early 90s. Throughout that decade I transitioned from hiphop/turntablism into playing some Deep/Tech House and a lot of Drum & Bass. By 2000, I still did some hip hop/turntablism intros, but I played mainly Drum & Bass with a heavy focus on Techstep.
A few years later I walked away from DJing for personal reasons, figuring to never return. However, I never stopped listening to DnB over the years.
I recently rediscovered my love of spinning and performing. Around Feb of 2014 I began to go back at it mainly as a creative outlet. My learning curve for doing this on digital decks was rather short being that I used turntables for 10 years, but I am still improving each day.
I don't know where this is going to take me. but I am having a blast. Today I spin mostly DnB (Neurofunk), but I do dabble in hiphop based dub and halfstep as well as Tech House.
