Jakes, “The Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin and has opened for Harry Connick Jr., Will Downing, Jerald Daemyon, Brian McKnight, Bob Baldwin, Tom Brown, Marion Meadows, Gerald Albright, Lord Yancyy, Keith Washington and was the vocal director and background vocalist for Mary J. Blige's "Share My World Tour.”
