Starting DJing in 1986 DJ Merlin discovered Cosmic for the first time in 1989 listening to an obscure mixtape called 'Nautilus'. Soon after he decided to dig deeper into the for German mainstream listeners quite unusual music and got fascinated. Being an alternative to the then upcoming techno music, Cosmic in southern Germany soon became a platform where Merlin managed to establish as one of the mostly booked German Cosmic DJs. In October 1993 a clubbing called 'boomboom club' opened with him as one of the resident djs. Since then he has played on various partys such as Fiesta Musica Magica, Melody Mecca Party (named after a legendary club near Rimini, Italy), Cosmic Convention, etc. andgot deeply influenced by the Italian Guest DJs such as Daniele Baldelli, Yano, Corrado, Pery, Ebreo. With the upcoming Nu Cosmic sound he was able to maintain his own style using new tracks mixed with some old stuff all in order to create the atmosphere which originally fascinated him 35 years ago.
