Barry Barnett aka Groovefinder started his journey back in 1988, ahead of the curve and at a time when rave culture had yet to hit the mainstream. Early gigs and DJ’ing at friends parties with upfront tunes of the moment, in 1990 he got his first big break securing the chance to play at Central Park at Ritzys and also saw him playing gigs all over the country - on line ups with industry heavyweights such as Grooverider, Carl Cox and Joey Beltram, to name a few.

Groovefinder became distracted and then focused on music production - going on to cut his first record in 1991 and released under the alias 2-X-Treme
Moving into 1998, he continued his focus on music production - further sucess soon followed, seeing Groovefinder remixing for a plethora of major artists and on labels such as Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto, Sony, and BMG - when he achieved his first UK top 10 hit 'Satellite of Love’, which was soon followed by another UK top 40 ft Nina Simone
