Drew Gray cover image

Swansea, United States

Andrew 'Drew' Gray was born in Kingston Jamaica, the son of Hubert and Ruby Gray. Having five sisters and being the only male, he often created his own role of manhood to escape the level of estragon in the household. Art and music were his outlet.

Once plugged into, he began to create great energy and electrifying displays and performances. His love for the Arts not only led him to study photography and graphic design at the Edna Manley College for the Visual Art, (Kingston, Jamaica), but also having the need to convey and share his knowledge.

This need led him to teach at the Sts. Peter and Paul Preparatory School on Old Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica while working part time as a Graphic designer and Illustrator at The Public Relations and Operation (PRO) under the management of Gene Lowrey Chin. He was identified with the CHILL character, that was a part of the logo and the weekly design for the cover of this insert; that would accompany the Daily Star once every week.
