Attended Driftwood Elementary, Driftwood Junior High "Red Devils" and Hollywood Hills High "Spartans". Earned A.A. Degree -- Broward Community College. Attended University of South Florida in Tampa for 1 year and decided I was burned out on education. Went back to Hollywood and joined the Broward County Carpenter's Union working construction. Built Environs at Inverary. Myself and a Master carpenter remodeled the Broward County Carpenter's Union Hall and offices. Bottom fell out of building industry so went back to school. Earned my B.A. Degree in Education with Teaching Certification in English. Did my Student Teaching @ Miami Springs Senior High. Disenchanted with the politics of education, I accepted a Manufacturer's Sales Representative position with Broyhill Furniture in 1977 in which they told me I could live anywhere I wanted as long as it was Jacksonville, FL.
