I am a 17 year old, Canadian high-school student. My name is Gareth Probert, but you can call me DJ Sain. I have been DJ'ing for a year, primarily mixing artists like deadmau5 and Daft Punk with a small USB mixer. I then pressured my parents into buying me a Numark NS7FX, and have been scratching ever since. i love turntablism, and it has truly become my passion. I hope to one day be a professional DJ, mixing popular music with my own loops and productions, while also implementing expressive scratch techniques. The artist I most respect would have to be Skrillex. He uses samples in ways i have never heard before, and he creates amazing music while jumping all over the genre map, switching from dubstep, to electro house, to trance. The thing i love about him, is that he creates his own genre and refuses to be nailed down to one, and I hope I can acheive this in my musical career, as i would like to be known for my turntablism skills and my club-quality mixes.
